The world-renowned chef and entertainer is to produce a show in Ireland that will bring jobs and money to the sector
A Gordon Ramsay television programme is expected to bring more than €30 million and hundreds of jobs to Irish television production.
The new purpose-built, brand-new sound stage at Ashford Studios, Co. Wicklow, will serve as the new worldwide centre for FOX Entertainment’s US smash food competition series Next Level Chef, according to the statement made by Taoiseach Leo Varadkar.
‘Next Level Chef’ has just been given a third and fourth season renewal. Studio Ramsay will produce the show, while BiggerStage will serve as the production business.
In the past 18 months, FOX Entertainment has produced more than 60 hours of primetime US content in Ireland, supporting more than two dozen Irish companies and generating more than 300 jobs.
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar said: “The last number of years have seen a surge in the sector which is now matched with unparalleled investment from FOX Entertainment and over 300 jobs in the creative industry. He continued:
“Ireland is perfectly placed to become a global hub for unscripted productions. Our membership of the EU, close proximity to the UK, strong cultural alignment with the USA and skilled workforce makes Ireland a favourable location for investment.
